Louis York x the Shindellas

Louis York is a group formed by Chuck Harmony and Claude Kelly. The multi-Grammy nominated duo openly admits to being weirdos and loving it; they even started a company named Weirdo Workshop in 2015. Despite their quirky nature, the duo has worked with some of the most popular musicians in the world, across numerous genres. The duo will be affirming their rebellious nature this June when they launch a new band known as the Shindellas on the 22nd of June at the War Memorial Auditorium. They hope to inspire others to start their own journeys towards self-acceptance, self-love, and rediscovery, creating hope of everyone out there who feels like a weirdo in a world that is constantly pushing them towards conformity. Be at the auditorium at 8 pm and enjoy a full evening of unconventional musical entertainment for only $25 per head.

Franki Valli and the Four Seasons

Frankie Valli and the Four Seasons will be performing over a period of two days; between the 27th and the 28th of June at the Schermerhorn Symphony Center from 7 pm on both days. Here you will get to enjoy incomparable symphonies and go down memory lane as the Rock n Roll Hall of Famers showcase entertain you with their biggest hits from the ‘60s and ‘70s. To add to your excitement, some of the hits you can expect to hear include Big Girls Don’t Cry, Working My Way Back to You, Sherry, Walk like a Man, Rag Doll, and Candy Girl.

World Music Day 5K & 10K Virtual Race

This is not your ordinary run; this is a virtual run sponsored by Moon Joggers. The event will take place on the 21st of June and tickets range anywhere between $9 and $30. The 21st of June will be World Music Day and a chance to celebrate the love for music in the Music City. For this purpose, a virtual race will be held throughout the month of June. A virtual race can be run from any location of your choice; on a nature trail, a treadmill, on the track on campus, etc. You get to run an individual race at your own pace in a location you have chosen.
Participants will get to choose between a 5K and a 10K race and you can complete your race any time throughout the month, so there is no pressure. Medals will subsequently be shipped to participants after they have completed their races. To take part you only have to register with $20 which will cater for your medal, shipping, and bib. 15% of every entry will also be donated to the Songs of Love Charity, a non-profit organization that operates across the United States, creating songs that uplift children and teenagers currently facing difficult emotional, medial, or physical challenges.
